Teacher Accused of Wizardry

Jim Piculas, a substitute teacher in Florida, recently lost his job. The reason he was fired is magically ridiculous. Among other issues he has been accused of Wizardry. That's right, Wizardry. Jim does a 30-second magic trick where a toothpick disappears then reappears. The trick is so good that it has propelled his community 200 years in the past.

This seems to be bad journalism. The whole story is about how the teacher got fired because of a magic trick but at the end they also quickly say he wasn't following lesson plans and directions. So while the wizardry thing is funny, I doubt it's the whole

  The article said that the teacher didn't know anything about those claims. I'm sure there is something else behind this. Maybe the administration didn't like his personality or teaching techniques.

you'd never see a real teacher get fired over "not following lesson plans" or not teaching. Hell, they can't be fired for anything short of having sex with a minor (or committing a felony of some form or another...maybe). HINT TO MODERATORS:"Hell,..." !=
