Physics Nerds Rap About the LHC 91
Engadget has pointed out a small band of people even we can consider nerdy that decided to cut loose and demo CERN's fancy new toy, the Large Hadron Collider. The resulting music video is certainly enough to "rock you in the head," and maybe even enough to cause a rip in space-time. Between Alpinekat and Dr Spatzo, I think my iPod just got a new entry.

Okay, the scientists dancing are tragically white, but the lyrics and graphics rock - even grade-schoolers would 'get it'. This should be teaching material.

Basically if its in the exact right place and we get very lucky we could see it early next year. We could also win the lottery (to be fair the chances of seeing the Higgs straight away isnt as bad as that but its not good).

If something looks stupid, that doesn't change based on someone's skin colour. No exceptions.
But that said, I think the video is actually pretty groovy and I can also see the odd teacher showing it in a classroom (if teachers are still allowed to do something not listed on their government curriculum).

Only because he's better than all of them. And yes, I love Sage, Alias, and Slug but seriously...the only white boy who could MAYBE handle Eminem in a battle would be Eyedea and he would probably lose like he did in the rap olympics. Whether you like it or not, Eminem is really, really talented. As much as it may pain me to say it, there's a reason he's sold more albums than all the rappers you mentioned put together.

If you guys like geek rap, you should check out the artist named ytcracker [ytcracker.com]. His album named "Nerd Entertainment System" is pure awesome. I'm not a huge fan of some of the later stuff, but it's very fun listening to a guy rapping about assembly opcodes, IRC, etc :)

I noticed that too.
This song reminds me of one of the Bill Nye music videos, and I like it but this version is really hard to listen to because the volume keeps changing.

And in future news, a large contingent of nerds world wide cried out in joy as the Large Hadron Collider was turned on today.
Surprising to some people, they managed to create a miniature black hole. However, LHC lead scientists informed us that it only lasted for 16 seconds after being created inside RIAA headquaters, and completely dissapated after having absorbed it.
We were unable to reach the RIAA for comments.

At least this song gives a nice explanation of the subject at hand.
Most nerdcore just goes like "Oooh, let's include the word 'router', and base my song off it!", but doesn't educate in any way.
