Gingrich Applauds Porn For Stimulating Economy 7

An anonymous reader writes "Newt Gingrich as part of his 'American Solutions for Winning the Future' program selected pinkvisual.com's Allison Vivas as entrepreneur of the year for 2009. An aide for Mr. Gingrich faxed out the invitation to the awards ceremony with a letter expressing his anticipation of meeting her 'face-to-face' and getting her ideas and opinions. Newt apparently received criticism for nominating the head of a web based porn power-house for this award from the media and political circles and he has rescinded the invitation."

    From TFA:

Newt would like to arrange a private dinner with you

Hmm, an over-the-hill politician wants to have a "private dinner" with a hot porn star, but changes his tune when someone finds out about it...

Yeah, I'm sure it was "inadvertent".

  • Newt, people want sex!
    ... just not with you.

The real issue was that they realized that the store didn't carry anything for the typical Republican - no diaper porn, no underage boys, and no videos about "hiking the Appalachian trail".

  • It's yet another example that people and companies that have successful and winning ideas are not rewarded for their hard work. If the person is scape goated as being politically incorrect then her efforts will be completely ignored and the winners will be the lazy, incompetent and mediocre. This is the reason why the U.S. economy is so bad. They reward corrupt companies and rescind rewards of companies that do a good job.

If this company was involved in banking I'm sure they would have received an award, or
