It's actually a bit sexist and completely reductive, so anyone actually wanting to shame bad behavior probably shouldn't use it, but internally consistent logic has never been humans' strong point. It's like the PC version of "bitch," but even more vague and "inclusive."
Well the male equivalent is a Todd. Anyway the easiest way to not acquire the label is to not act entitled and whiny in public and then post video evidence of yourself doing it.
"Bubba" isn't precisely equivalent. It's similarly insulting and fits a stereotype of ignorant, cruel, privileged, and abusive behavior, though typically much less educated and fiscally privileged than the "Karen" image.
Bubba is used to imply that the person is a beer drinking alcoholic with weight problems who probably didn't finish High School and certainly didn't finish college from a real college.
It may be used more gently simply to imply that the person is a gun-loving conservative religious person but even there the connotation of poor education, ignorance, and bigotry exist.
