I'm detecting a weak attempt at sarcasm. Jesus was tried and. executed for claiming to be the Messias at a time Rome already established a king in Judea. Jesus did not raise armies to overthrow the government; he was even recorded saying that we should "render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's". Another quote is "my kingdom is not of this world." The Jewish priests felt threatened that Jesus was becoming more popular than they. The one recorded act of violence was overturning the money changers' tables in the temple.
