McCain wouldn't have been any good, either. But the answer to the current malaise isn't a European-style socialist regime. It's government interference in the free market that got us in this mess to begin with.

US troops are in Iraq because of oil. This is the US government interfering in the free market. If the government were not involved, and Americans paid the true price for petroleum products at the pump, we'd be much closer
