OMG — a Keyboard For Blondes 11

MojoKid writes "The keyboard as we know it just got a makeover. What started initially as a gag apparently got so much positive feedback that the creators of the Keyboard for Blondes decided to turn it into a real product. The Keyboard for Blondes is a real keyboard. It has all the normal functionality you would expect from a traditional keyboard. It has 103 keys, is USB based, and works with both Windows PCs and Macs. As to why it is pink, the Keyboard for Blondes Website explains, 'Pink is the new black!' And being a blonde is not necessarily as prerequisite for owning one either, as the site further offers, 'this keyboard is for anyone who has ever had a blonde moment or ... two, has a good sense of humor and likes to have fun! Afterall [sic] being blonde is not just your hair color.'"

  • and they love me. that's what blonde means to me.
  • That keyboard will match my hair nicely.

    I know that keyboard is intended to be a gag gift, but if they were to add macro/multimedia buttons, I'd buy one.

  • But I'm blonde, you insensitive clod!

    • FTFA,

      In addition to its distinctive pink color, a unique attribute of the Keyboard for Blondes are the "fun" sayings on 64 of the keys, such as "Oops!" on the Delete key, "The Big One: 'I Need My Space' Key" on the spacebar, or "Yes! I want it!" on the Enter key. A number of the keys also act as special texting shortcuts, such as "OMG" on the O key, "LOL" on the L key, and "XOXO" on the X key.

      Additional "fun" keys include:

      * TAB = "Useless Key"
      * Tilde/Tick = "Any Key"

  • Pink keyboard? Big deal. I was at the range yesterday and they had pink rifles. Gun makers are catering to the female market (http://www.jsonline.com/news/wisconsin/29437539.html) precluding the need for custom work like the Hell Kitten AR-15 (http://blog.riflegear.com/archive/2007/12/26/hello-kitty-ar-15---evil-black-rifle-meets-cute-and.aspx).

    Quite a few women and girls at the range, too. Though none of them had pink guns.

  • This is a lame product and hardly newsworthy.

To stay youthful, stay useful.
