Church Baptises Baby With Cola 11

A Norwegian priest had to improvise during a baptism ceremony when it was discovered the church taps had been turned off because of freezing temperatures. His solution was to use lemon-flavored cola. Priest Paal Dale said the family was informed about the switch after the ceremony. He added, "It had gone flat. Only the lemon smell made this unusual." This enduring covenant between god and your child is brought to you by Coca-Cola.

  • Cola refers specifically to the brown carbonated beverage which was originally made from the Kola nut. Colourless "lemon-flavoured" beverages are not colas.

      What about Crystal Pepsi?

        I think I was the only person in the world that liked Crystal Pepsi. I am hoping for its second coming, but I think it's about as likely as the J-man's.

    • In the US, there are an many words for "carbonated beverage" as there are dialects. They are commonly referred to as "soda", "pop", "soda-pop", and "cola". Even worse than "cola" is a southern US dialect that uses the word "coke" to mean carbonated beverage.
