Chinese Budget Airline Plans Standing Tickets 8

Spring Airlines has come up with a great idea to make a little extra money by making their flights standing-room-only. The Chinese airline is just waiting for a green light from the government to start selling tickets for the standing flights. The airline's president Wang Zhenghua said he was sure that the plan would get government approval because it was suggested by China's vice premier Zhang Dejiang. "He suggested that, for a lower price, passengers should be able to get on a plane like catching a bus, with no seat, no luggage consignment, no food, no water, but very convenient," said Wang.

  • No thank you, I'd rather ride coach and sit with a seat belt.
    • No kidding. I've been on a plane before that has hit very rough turbulence and seen a few people who didn't bother to put on their seatbelt rise about 2-3 feet in the air before crashing beck to the seat below them. Not to mention takeoff and landing acceleration are just a little above that of subway cars.

Not necessarily. It doesn't say what type of plain this is aimed at but some of the propeller driven planes used for short hops don't have very harsh acceleration or breaking. The turbulence on the other hand is worse .... they fly at lower altitude.

New invention: Feetbelts. Straps on the floor that you fit your fit into, like those found on snowboards.
  • some people would pay MORE for this type of transport...!

    • Yeah, but only if it flew a parabolic flight path; I've always wanted to take a ride on the "Vomit Comet"!

The truth of a proposition has nothing to do with its credibility. And vice versa.

Working...
