The Neo-Geo Song 70
At least 50% of my paychecks would be converted into tokens and put into one of many Neo-Geo machines at the arcade when I was in high school. It's good that my favorite old games finally have an anthem.

It makes me think about the Great Debate. Ya know, that question that makes all classic gamers flame and troll one another: Which had the largest cart? N64 or Neo-Geo? I side with the N64 at 64 megabytes (RE2 with videos).
Also: Which console had the longest life (i.e. longest time being manufactured)? I side with the Atari 2600 at 15 years (1977-1992).
How's that for inferring my own meaning? :-)

Didn't the cartridges of the day measure in Mbits? I seem to recall games boasting X Mbits of storage.

Okay. Then the largest N64 cart has 64 * 8 == 512 Mbit

I'm not a huge fan of vs. fighters myself. But the Neo Geo is great for all the shooters. Blazing Star, Pulstar, Aero-Fighters, etc. The Metal Slug series is an absolute classic run-n-gun. And there are some good puzzle games on it too. Puzzle Bobble, Magical Drop, and so on. Now I'd never pay the hundreds of dollars necessary to play these at home, but they're lots of fun to play on emulation once in a while.

The most memorable part about Neo-Geo in the arcade was the attract mode of a certain game:

BASEBALL STARS! PROFESSIONAL!
That, and the Engrish from Magician Lord: "You, persistent guy. But your life ends right now," and, "Again changes to hell."
Then again, I sat in one spot on TNMT breaking boomerangs long enough to roll the score over (9999 to 0000). That proved to be a bit annoying to the others in the arcade. Particularly my second attempt the next day to get exactly 9999 points when a particular asshole unplugged the machine.
