According to Bild a junior officer put the Heron into auto start and then was unable to stop it. The incident occurred at Mazar-i-Sharif on Mar. 17, 2010 Watch the ground crew get out of the way quick!"

War is hell. In wars past, whole cities would be sacked or burned. World War 2 killed hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of innocent civilians during bombings.
I'm not bringing this up because it excuses bombing a wedding party, but to put it in perspective. I don't think it is realistic to expect people to give up armed conflict. As far as armed conflicts go, the stuff the US has been involved in is nothing new. If anything, these drone strikes are comparatively limited. You can rail against the US on here all you like, but IMHO you won't get many converts because of, well, Dresden. Tokyo. Or Syria, for that matter. If you want to see how shitty the US can be at war, look at the Philippines. People watch this crap for fun on the History Channel, so expecting outrage is going to lead you to disappointment.
Anyway, my 2 cents...

Targeted persons hang out with civilians. People who shoot at us get shot at. You keep parroting your lines and if not you, then your descendants will be killed by these people you're trying to protect. People who would cut your throat, given half a chance, especially if they knew the details of your lifestyle.
What are the civilians supposed to do? Tell the targeted persons to fuck off? Or leave their homes and belongings and flee somewhere. If so, where? What would be a good place to go to for survival if all you can bring is what you can carry with you.
Civilians do not choose to become collateral damage but when there's enough collateral damage, it turns previously not all that hateful civilians or their descendants into people that are willing to kill you.

Also, this is the German equivalent of the Daily Mail. Don't EVER believe a single thing they are saying.
It is more useful to check if something is a lie. Does the BILD report is? Yes? Then it's a lie.
(It's not "The Bild" btw. Just "BILD". But any Rorschach pattern coming out from folding a sheet of paper, and pouring human blood and bile into it, suffices.)

Be sure to remember that when one of the survivors retaliates; it's a war, after all, so blowing up a building in the US would be justified.
