Bar Gets You Tipsy On Its Air 8

You don't need to drink your cocktails at the Alcoholic Architecture bar because a vapor of gin and tonic is constantly pumped into the air. About 40 minutes is enough for the average person to start feeling a little tipsy. Special protective suits are offered to customers, as the G&T mist permeates clothing. The brainchild of Sam Bompas and Harry Parr, the bar has a capacity of 40 people, and a special soundtrack featuring the noise of liquid being poured over ice cubes plays continuously.

Because there are many fewer tastebuds in the colon than in the mouth, the quality of the alcohol is less of an issue. Most bars need stock only two fluid consumable items - everclear and saline for dilution. Are you suggesting that there are SOME taste buds in the colon? If that is true then even quality top shelf liquors are all going to taste like sh*t.

  • Can you smoke in there? Is there a real risk of explosion or fire? Seems like a fad.

Can you imagine how smashed they would be after an 8 hour shift?

I wonder how this "bar" gets around the OSHA chemical exposure limits for employees. The permissible exposure level (PEL) for ethanol is 1000 PPM in general industry. To be getting drunk in 40 minutes, the atmosphere in the bar must be a lot more concentrated than that.
